About Pumpstock

Pumpstock Inc. offers contract management services for the western United States.  We specialize in pumps and related equipment sold primarily through municipal or industrial distributors and representatives.  In addition to territory sales management, Pumpstock offers its principals direct sales to OEMs, and contract warehouse services in northern California to further support both stocking distributors and OEMs alike.

Pumpstock is an organization composed of experienced pump professionals who see an opportunity to provide manufacturers a chance to increase their market share in the western states.  We provide an instant presence without the up-front costs of a direct sales office.  Since Pumpstock is a contract manager, sales costs can be controlled with either a flat fee or commission-only basis, meaning costs are only incurred after shipments are made to a principal’s customers.  These costs are minimal to the principal, as administration, personnel, equipment, and all other overhead costs incurred by Pumpstock are spread among several manufacturers.

The territory we currently manage is made up of the states of AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY, western ND & SD, and El Paso, TX.  While this may seem geographically large, the population and the industrial pockets are concentrated in a relatively few centers, surrounded by vast open spaces.  Typically, most manufacturers attempt to cover this territory with a single factory salesperson.  With Pumpstock, our principals have two people covering the same territory.

We offer our customers throughout the territory a toll free number to reach our main office, 1-888-PUMP-234.

Our core staff includes:

Gene Webb, President and founder of Pumpstock, has primary responsibility for administration, finance, and warehouse operations management.  In addition, he has sales responsibility for the northern portion of our territory.  Gene spent 16 years at Price Pump Company, including time as Plant Manager followed by 10 years as General Manager.  He brings to Pumpstock extensive experience in pump manufacturing, administration, and sales management.  He probably has a better understanding of OEM’s in the Western U.S. than any other pump professional.  Gene is based in our main office in American Canyon, CA.

Abel Aguilar has primary sales responsibility for the southern portion of our territory.  Abel has been with Pumpstock for over two years, starting out working as our inside sales engineer and warehouse coordinator.  This experience coupled with his mechanical equipment sales and engineering background have given him the foundation needed to support his customers in the field.  Abel has gained experience with a broad spectrum of pumps including centrifugal, rotary gear, progressing cavity, peristaltic, mag drive, canned motor, and submersible pumps.  Abel is also based in our American Canyon office.

Keith Gagnier is responsible for our Northwest territory.  Keith has a very solid background with industrial pumps sold via distribution and direct to OEM customers.  He has a passion for solving challenging technical and business problems.  He readily shares his knowledge and experiences with our team to help all of our customers.

In summary, Pumpstock Inc. offers contract Sales, Territory, and Warehouse Management for the Western United States.  We specialize in selling pumps and related equipment through our principals’ channel partners, the principals’ distributors and representatives, as well as directly to our principals’ OEMs.  Pumpstock offers its principals contract warehouse services in Northern California to further support both channel partners and OEMs.

Territory sales management is provided by Pumpstock, so that the principal doesn’t need a direct regional sales force and all its related overhead.  Pumpstock’s primary sales responsibility is to develop and support our principals’ customer base.  Our staff is particularly familiar with the Western U.S., its existing pump distributors, and many of its OEMs.

By bringing the inventory physically closer to the customer, Pumpstock can help our principals provide a level of customer service unparalleled in the industry.  Pump modifications such as impeller trims, seal changes, and bearing change-outs can also be handled by Pumpstock to further support our customers’ developing needs.

Pumpstock gives our principals a west coast sales office without the cost of opening one themselves.  The only up-front cost to a principal is the value of their inventory in the Pumpstock warehouse.  Since Pumpstock is a contract management firm, compensation is either a flat fee or tied directly to sales and paid as commissions on product value shipped.  Once again, our principals pay no up-front costs.

Pumpstock is made up of a team of experienced professionals from the pump industry.  We look forward to the opportunity to be part of your team.
