Territory Management

Territory sales management is provided by Pumpstock, so that you don’t need a direct regional sales force and all of its related overhead.  Pumpstock’s primary sales responsibility is to develop and support your customer base.  Our exceptional staff is particularly familiar with the Western U.S., its existing distributors and representatives, and many of its OEMs.  We have the sales and marketing experience to find, evaluate, and sign up new distributors or representatives, and to locate and develop new OEM customers.  Pumpstock professionals know this territory and can provide better sales coverage than is generally possible for manufacturers located in the eastern states.  We augment our sales effort and that of your distributors by generating leads, providing detailed information about local prospects, and identifying developing market opportunities.  Pumpstock staff can quote prices, answer technical questions, and service your customers quicker and better because of our location and expertise.  Fundamentally, you get a top notch western regional sales office without the overhead and management effort that this normally entails.

Pumpstock will evaluate your existing distributor and representative base, your market channel partners.  We will then provide suggested changes where necessary and develop new channel partners as the needs of the territory and your overall channel strategy dictate.  We identify and evaluate potential distributors and representatives to find those that most closely match the profile you need to sell your product.  New channel partners receive product training as well as sales and technical support from an organization in or near their own time zone.

Pumpstock intends to handle a limited number of primary product lines.  This objective serves to balance two competing factors: the need to spread fixed costs over several manufacturers, while maximizing the sales effort on each product.  We make a concerted effort to represent non-competing lines.  Any new product lines will be added only after all existing principals have had a chance to review and comment on the proposed addition.

Experienced manufacturing professionals are also included in the makeup of Pumpstock’s personnel. Hours after your factory has shut down, Pumpstock can provide service to your customers.  We understand the need to balance inventory levels with customer service and cash requirements.  Inventory management can be greatly improved at your factory by working with Pumpstock to better forecast demand from the Western U.S.  We offer valuable information regarding sales and market trends, especially for new products.
